OneNote and Samsung Notes provides a solid search function to find notes. Users can share it as a Samsung Notes file (.SDOC), PDF file, Image file, or Text file. On Samsung Notes, long-tap on any note and select Share. It lets you and your friends add/modify content simultaneously. The better way is, you can share an entire OneNote notebook with others. You can share a page as pdf using the default share menu. Microsoft offers a bunch of sharing options to send the notes. You can play with different colors and thickness of the tip in the drawing menu. You can tap on the pen icon and open the drawing menu with a pencil, pen, highlighter, and eraser tool. OneNote offers a simple yet effective drawing tool. Galaxy Note users are going to love Notes app drawing capabilities with the S pen. You can use the pen, pencil, highlighter tool, and tons of color options. On Samsung Notes, tap on the Draw icon at the above and pick a tool from a variety of options. Drawing CapabilitiesĪs expected, both the OneNote and Samsung Notes offer rich drawing functions. The ability to add images as well as voice recordings and the audio file is at the upper right corner. I like how Samsung has added more heading styles to the text editor menu. Samsung Notes offer all the standard text editing option to compose notes. It’s easy to see, navigate, and use editing functions. I like how all the options are nicely tucked into the menu bar above the keyboard. You can also integrate PDF files in the OneNote. Starting with OneNote, you can create checkboxes, add images, use the microphone to integrate voice notes, use highlighter, and even add bullet points to note. OneNote and Samsung Notes offer a rich text editor to take and customize notes. It makes a huge difference in organizing notes. I prefer it compared to OneNote Section/Pages type of organization. Categories work similarly to tags on Evernote. Users can opt for the color codes to further differentiate the Notebooks and Sections. You can also use the search bar at the bottom to search for notes content. You need to create a OneNote Notebook, add a Section in it and create pages to add notes. OneNote follows the physical book concept to organize notes. If the notes are not properly organized, then it can be a real head-scratcher to find the relevant note at a time. After some time, you are going to fill the digital cabinet with hundreds of notes. Note organization is a key part of any note-taking app. As expected, Samsung Notes also supports the Android 10 dark theme. It’s a joy to navigate the UI with one hand. Meaning, it carries a giant app banner at the top, and the main options, including notes and adds note icon, are at the bottom. Samsung Notes is a part of the company’s big overhaul of apps. OneNote plays nicely with the Android 10 dark theme as well. There is no hamburger menu, which is good to see in 2020. However, it does feel a bit heavy on low-spec Galaxy M series phone. You get the basic three tabs at the bottom for navigation. OneNote offers a standard UI across all the platforms. Samsung Notes is only available on Android and Windows (the availability is limited to Samsung Windows laptops only). Microsoft also offers OneNote extension to clip web articles to the OneNote app. You can access the note-taking app on iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, and Web. Microsoft OneNote is available on every platform. The comparison post will be based on cross-platform availability, UI, features, note-taking options, text editor, sharing, price, and more. In this post, we are going to compare Samsung Note to OneNote.

And by the way, I have been to Egypt and been inside the pyramids and they do not look at all like that let me tell you. The last level is a bit tricky – you have to steal (sacred?) mirofilm from a pyramid and the time limit is very tight indeed. The game is fun, but not for long as most of the levels are far too easy. The game also has you swinging from rooftop to rooftop on pulleys, stepping on rakes and crushing enemy guards with 16 ton weights. A combination of 3D action-adventure and puzzle-based side-scroller game! If you are waiting for a Switch alternative for the current Ace Combat 7, you are at the wrong address. Likewise, the result is very similar to what I often see in cases of such games. It's a case like many others, when the basics were picked up from the phones, something was added, something went wrong (for example, the free to play model) and many things adapted to the transition to the Nintendo hybrid platform. On the other hand, it's not just a mobile phone port. These are in some respects seen at first sight. The Sky Gamblers: Afterburner really doesn't have to be drilled deep to find roots. They have the famous Sky Gamblers, Radiation Island and Battle Supremacy series on their handsets, and the first player now has a completely new Switch exclusive game. In this way, the circumstances in favor of California's Atypical Games have been played. In addition, if they succeed in timing the release of their game, they can smile happy. Moreover, in many ways they can offer something that is missing there. There is, of course, a big wide world of iPad games beyond this.Indeed, a tremendous amount of mobile studios has turned into a Nintendo Switch, as it is the closest platform to them and its success is an attraction that is hard to resist. The game is already optimized for the new iPad, so have at it! $6.99 - Download Mass Effect: Infiltrator (opens in new tab) Mass Effect is a great franchise, and it keeps the production values high as it comes to iOS. For a closer look, chomp down on our review. As you blast your way through a plot of treachery and deceit, you upgrade your various high-tech weaponry, gather incredible new biotic powers, and make tough decisions which will come back to haunt you later on. You play a human supremacist militant gone rogue in a sci-fi world about to be overrun by an intergalactic threat. The game has a great tie-in with the Mass Effect 3 game on consoles and PC, while still being a great duck-and-cover shooting game in its own right. $0.99 (on sale) - Download Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation (opens in new tab) Real Racing 2 HDĪlthough it's relatively new, Mass Effect: Infiltrator has proven to be one of the bigger titles launched on iOS recently. Looks like the update just went live! Woo! Since it's going on sale now for $0.99 (down from $6.99), I'd say it's worth picking up. While Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation isn't yet updated for the new iPad, I've been told by Gameloft that the iPad version will be Retina-ready in the next week or so. I particularly enjoyed the accelerometer control in the game, but it takes a fair bit of getting used to. If you've got a new iPad, Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation stands a good chance of convincing you that yeah, maybe this thing actually can displace demand for Xbox 360 games. Modern Combat 3 has all of the trappings of your traditional first-person shooter: unlockable rewards, ranking up, multiplayer, achievements, and customizable weapons and class kits. $4.99 - Download Shadowgun (opens in new tab) Modern Combat 3: Fallen NationĪlthough the Modern Combat franchise is a shameless "homage" to many of the military shoot-'em-ups available on PC and consoles, Gameloft has done a great job bringing the genre to mobile. I gather that to mean they need to buy one to test with before they can get everything optimized, so we might have a bit of a wait on our hands. Madfinger tells me Shadowgun will be updated as soon as Apple starts selling the new iPad in the Czech Republic where they're based, which is on March 23. Shadowgun was often used to showcase what Nvidia's quad-core graphics are capable of, and I'd be really interested in seeing its performance side-by-side with Apple's own quad-core GPU, especially once it's optimized for iPad-sized Retina resolution. Shadowgun has is one of the more graphically-intensive mobile games out there, and should give you an idea of just how powerful the new iPad is - especially if you've played the game before on another device. While the gameplay is a traditional over-the-shoulder, shooting from behind cover style, the lighting in the game is particularly good-looking. You get a bunch of awesome sci-fi weaponry to plow your way through the hordes. You play one bounty hunter who has been tasked with taking out a mad scientist who is creating an army of mutant warriors. Shadowgun is a third-person shooter that takes place in a dystopian future where mercenaries enforce corporate policies and engage in help executives eliminate competition. No Matter Studios opted to abandon the trademark issue, not wanting to get into a legal battle with ZeniMax, and announced the change to Praey for the Gods in May 2017, just prior to the release of ZeniMax's Prey. No Matter Studios filed for trademark protection for the name Prey for the Gods in May 2016 however ZeniMax Media, who owns the trademark to the Prey name in the video game sector, issued an objection to the Prey for the Gods mark, citing that it was too similar to their Prey. According to No Matter, the gameplay was inspired by Shadow of the Colossus, Deus Ex, DayZ, and Bloodborne. Due to this, the game's scope and scale were also significantly expanded. It ended up raising more than half a million dollars, doubling the teams' original expectations (USD$300,000). The studio crowdfunded the game through Kickstarter in July 2016. In February 2016 the studio moved to Seattle, Washington to work on the game full-time. On October 19, 2015, No Matter Studio revealed the game as Prey for the Gods, with a short trailer on YouTube. They initially worked part-time on the game. No Matter Studios, the game's developer, consists of three people, Brian Parnell, Hung-Chien Liao, and Tim Wiese. Clothing and other miscellaneous items can be upgraded once the resource cost has been fulfilled.ĭevelopment of Praey for the Gods began in 2014 in San Francisco. Weapons have certain levels, relative to how easily they can be obtained. There are treasure hunts, involving puzzles, to gain some of the more items. Resources can be found in crates, dropped by animals and enemies (excluding the "gods" themselves) or found in the environment. The crafting system is based on maintaining and upgrading equipment. Each set of three will increase the maximum stamina of the character (a total of ten enhancements), which is crucial for taking down the gods. 30 glowing totems can be found around the map, rewarded for solving environmental puzzles or searching obscure locations. There are also potions scattered around to help keep these afflictions at bay, although it is strongly advisable to hunt, gather, cook and rest during play. If caught in a freezing gale or body of water, the character will need to find shelter and make a fire before the cold affects her health. Most actions will exacerbate this, for example: sprinting will increase hunger faster, which decreases the rate of stamina replenishment. Over time, the character will become hungry, fatigued and chilled, which all negatively impact her performance. Some hints on how to do so are provided in the form of cave drawings. Each one is unique and must be studied to understand how to defeat it. After some exploration, players must track down behemoths known as "gods", finding ways to scale their massive bodies and strike the chimes located at critical points. She must scavenge for resources (weapons, food, etc.) to survive the frozen landscape, dynamically generated weather and other hostilities. The player character starts her journey stranded on a frozen island, with only the clothes on her back. Initially released via early access in January 2019, and the full version of the game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One in December 2021. Praey for the Gods is an action-adventure survival game developed by No Matter Studios. We collaborated with multiple cloud vendors to mitigate these risks and keep cloud users safe. Over the past year, Unit 42 discovered multiple vulnerabilities in public cloud infrastructure, caught previously unknown threat actors, and identified unsecure misconfigurations. Vendors look stupid making this argument. As part of our continued commitment to improving public cloud security for everyone, Unit 42 Cloud Researchers study cloud technology in aim of identifying new risks and threats in the cloud. “Stop with the dumb arguments when it comes to the right to repair. “My view is to protect the data on the device with robust security controls, a minimal attack surface, and best practices,” Thornton-Trump concluded. The right-to-repair movement is a natural outgrowth of decades of designed-for-failure products. From a consumer perspective, buying new products every time a new device is released is unsustainable. They build and sell products that are expensive and require users to be as tech savvy as any computer scientist. In the end, the ICT suppliers created this situation themselves. These products are massively deployed and undersecured,” he said. “The devices should be designed to be secure. Nathan Proctor, senior right-to-repair campaign director for the California Public Interest Research Group (CALPIRG) admitted that the right to repair before the right to security may be putting the cart before the horse. AI, deep learning, autonomous anomalistic detection, and response with human verifiable resources to validate are our best forms of defense.” Amazingly enough, all of those defenses are the primary products of the cybersecurity industry. ICT introduces a new set of challenges for us. “Complete visibility is an absolute must in today’s environment. Flory III, CISO for Harbor Security, agreed. “From the security discussion, it seems a diversion and begs the question are really wasting our time about what kind of proprietary screwdriver you need to open the damn thing? “The modern threat is the data on the device and not the device function itself,” Thornton-Trump explained. That model is very good for the cybersecurity industry. Apple has made a great deal of money keeping customers within their “walled garden.” On the other hand, Microsoft created a profitable entire supply chain of vendors dedicated to setting up, updating, and repairing poorly designed products. Related: Safer Internet Day 2023: It's a dangerous business, going online It’s more environmentally friendly than replacement, allows for a supply chain of repair shops, and can build a community of mod’ers.” “This security hot take is an industry straw man designed to protect the value of the customer revenue,” said Ian Thornton-Trump, CISO for Cyjax. In the cybersecurity industry, however, there is strong support for the right to repair. Most of them are inherently vulnerable to exploitation and disruption from both near and far.” The problem is that if a human can find a defense, a human can find a way around that defense, intentionally or by accident.Ī 2019 report from the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace explained, “The technologies are mostly dual use, in that they can be used as much to serve malicious or lethal purposes as they can be harnessed to enhance social and economic development. ICT Security is a design afterthought dealt with by software patches. There is evidence that the contents were manipulated with the help of Chinese nationals to embarrass the Bidens.īut from a cybersecurity aspect, that isn’t the point. An authorized repairman downloaded the data from the device and sold it to the Trump campaign. One of the big stories before in 2020 was Hunter Biden’s laptop. The FTC pointed out that authorized repair shops were just as likely to do the same but there had been no evidence of that actually happening. The argument was that independent repair shops could plant malware and steal personal information from devices. The advocates for the bill claimed the committee members caved to pressure from the tech industry and pointed to an FTC 2021 report from the FTC discounting the industries’ argument. The bill, however, died in committee in May with a rare unanimous bi-partisan vote. Senate Bill 393 represented the most comprehensive attempt to allow people to get devices repaired rather than replaced. It is still an uphill fight in California. Industry lobbyists lost the argument in New York State, which passed a right-to-repair law. Now, you can select a printer to print out the document info only. Write them down or make a Facebook video for parents. Assign verses to different classes or small groups, then have them teach the whole children’s ministry.Ħ. You can find some on YouTube ( here and here and here) but often your Sunday School teachers are the best source for these motions. I offered these options when kids first learned the verse.ĥ. Get ideas from others. In the example above the phrase “with all your might” could be rendered as a karate punch, muscle pose, or even dance move. I try to include at least one motion for each verse where the kids get to pick their movement. We typically will point to heaven when speaking of God but make a nail sign when the word is Jesus.Ĥ. Challenge the kids to invent their own. Many Bible memory verses for kids will include similar concepts. Consistent hand motions will help with recall. We even had children volunteer to see who had the most passion in their soul movements.ģ. Re-use the same movements. In the example above the phrase “with all your soul” was supposed to be acted out with great enthusiasm. A little playfulness makes the whole exercise more enjoyable. Sign language can be helpful but is often too complicate for most kids to retain long term.Ģ. Make at them fun. Each symbol should correspond to a phrase. Being familiar with the structure of the Bible is also an aid in locating Bible verses quickly.Įach card includes the name of the book, its numerical order in the Old or New Testament, the division in which it is located, its author (if known), a summary of what it is about, and a reference to a key verse in the book. This set of Bible book cards will help children understand how each Bible book fits into the complete story of the Bible. Understanding what is contained in each division helps us see the progression of events in the Bible. These books are divided into the Old Testament and the New Testament, with five divisions in each. The Bible consists of 66 books, which were written by many different people under God’s leadership. Most importantly, the Bible tells how every person can have a personal relationship with God. It is also a long continued story – of how God created the world, chose a special group of people, blessed (and punished) his special people, promised to send a Savior, sent Jesus into the world, and directed Jesus’ friends to go everywhere telling about him. Normally, if you tell a unit to march to a position, it’ll do its best to figure out how to get there. Relic Entertainment has improved the soldiers’ pathfinding, but Tactical Pause gives you further control over that. Flamethrowers, mortars, grenades, satchels, and now we have breaching. With breach, what we do is we take it a step further,” says Philip. “It’s there to create a cinematic moment. Not only is it a cool-looking bit of cinematic combat, but it’s also a way to push away from Company of Heroes 2’s more defensive city play. Certain units can toss a grenade into a building, killing the soldiers inside, but leave much of the structure intact. When you’re up against German soldiers occupying buildings, you can burn the structures to the ground with a flamethrower. You can roll your tanks through enemy cover, or watch buildings shatter due to grenades or mortar fire. In a presentation prior to the demo, Relic Entertainment highlighted Company of Heroes 3’s enhanced destruction. The primary conflict was in a small Italian town, with cobblestone streets and distinct, red, terracotta tiles roofs. In a later stage, I marched my troops through an olive grove to help entrenched Italian resistance forces. The concept art includes desert battles, but the demo itself takes place in Italy's warm, sunny climate. Relic also promises conflict in North Africa, though that wasn’t available in the preview build. “The boots-on-the-ground gameplay that we have in Company of Heroes suits what was happening in the Mediterranean more so than the Pacific.” “We were all geared up to do the Pacific theater potentially,” added lead narrative designer Báirbre Bent. (Opens in a new window) Read Our Treachery in Beatdown City (for PC) Review Company of Heroes 3 is still in development, but Relic gave us an early look at a pre-alpha iteration ahead of the PC game’s 2022 release. More importantly, the game takes the World War II conflict to another theater: the Mediterranean. Relic Entertainment has beefed up the game’s foundations, with improved graphics, new units, a more robust campaign map, and enhanced environmental destruction.
